I have to write a paper for my Business Finance class do any have any suggestions on a topic?

I would do it on a company that would be fun to investigate. For example..if you like make up, I would do a write up on a make up company. The micro and macro economics, write about it and do it in comparison to its competitors, see if you can find anything on the website and get some investor relations details, list stock history etc…Good Luck!
How about the current fiasco in the mortgage industry?
What caused the climate that allowed for the predatory lending?
How could it have been prevented? What are the current fallouts? Was it discriminatory?
How will this failure of a sector (sub-prime lending) cause a ripple effect through the US economy and possibly the global economy?
